British musician Phil Collins is to become a father again at the age of 49, the BBC reported on Wednesday.
A spokesman for the singers said Collins and his third wife, Orianne, 28, were expecting their first child next year. Orianne was said to be three months pregnant.
"It is very early days yet and they have not even told all the members of their families yet,'' the spokesman told the BBC.
Collins already has two adult children and an 11-year-old daughter from his previous marriages.
Collins rose to prominence as drummer in the 1970s of British art-rock band Genesis. He later took over from Peter Gabriel as the band's vocalist before forging a solo career in 1995.
He has had a string of hit singles and earlier this year won an Oscar for the song "You'll Be in My Heart'' from the animated movie "Tarzan.''
He married Orianne, his former interpreter, in July 1999 at a celebrity-studded ceremony in Switzerland."

Singer Phil Collins is to be a Dad for the Fourth Time - at the age of 49
Third wife Orianne, 28, is six months pregnant and she really did look swell as the couple partied on a yacht in the Mediterranean.
A pal of the couple said yesterday: "Phil is over the moon. Orianne has made him feel young again and he was desperate to have a baby with her. He knows she will be a great mum. They've been keeping it quiet until now, but her bump speaks for itself."
Phil's happy mood showed on board the yacht, off Sardinia. He started hamming it up with pet terrier Jack - even getting down on all fours to "bark" with him!
The rocker met marketing executive Orianne five years ago when she was his translator. They wed last summer in her native Switzerland.
Phil - whose albums No Jacket Required and Face Value have sold millions around the world - has two grown-up children from his first marriage and a daughter Lily, 11, with second wife Jill.
He and Jill were married for ten years and have now ended a feud which began when they split in 1994.
Phil stunned her by faxing her a demand for a divorce.
