Phil Collins and SCI Entertainment P1c (a British computer games firm) bought stakes in Outourworld.com Ltd.
The pop music site is scheduled to be launched in the spring and other investors include UK's Elderstreet, Reuters reports.
SCI hasn't released the stake's worth but it has purchased the rights to Outourworld.com's games portal.
The site was created over a year ago by Carl Leighton-Pop and Andrew Wildinson, an ex-rock star manager who's worked with the Rolling Stones and the Spice Girls.
Outourworld.com will allow people to buy concert tickets on-line and will also feature interviews, news and a music-memorabilia auction site.
"Last year, Andrew and Carl put over six million 'bums on seats' in their world-wide concert promotions," said SCI C.E.O. Jane Cavanagh. "That's potentially a lot of bums that can be converted into eyeballs on the Outourworld.com site."
The site also has the rights to create a CD-ROM that works as a ticket for concerts of bands featured on the site.
