Cadbury's gorilla is most popular web advert

Cadbury's gorilla is most popular web advertThe Cadbury's advert featuring a gorilla playing drums to a Phil Collins song is this year's most popular television commercial, according to a survey.

The cult advert has been viewed around 10 million times on the internet, boosting sales of both chocolate bars and Collins's hit In The Air Tonight, which went to No 9 in the UK download chart.

An advert for Lynx deodorant in which a woman falls for her boyfriend's father is second in the chart, published by the TellyAds.com website.

The Baking of Fabia, in which a Skoda car is made out of cake ingredients and jelly, makes it to third in the list.

Two of this year's most talk-about adverts - the Sonia Bravia "paint bunnies" commercial and Guinness's Dominoes also made it in to the top 20, in fourth and twelfth places respectively.

The chart is based on the number of people who have watched the adverts on the website, taking into account the length of time each has been available to view.

The Cadbury gorilla advert alone has been requested more than 185,000 times since September.

But all of the commercials featured have also been posted on video sharing websites like YouTube, where they have generated millions more hits.
