Phil Collins was back on a Dutch stage again after fifteen years

Phil Collins was back on a Dutch stage again after fifteen years. With his Still Not Dead Yet tour, he managed to operate the Goffertpark in Nijmegen with a set list full of hits and classics.

"Over the years, I have regularly seen sitting concerts, but then the audience was sitting ... not the artist! Today it has turned around. But ... Phil Collins can then give his concert in the Goffertpark from a chair, the music is no less loudly sung by the audience. The atmosphere is in good shape from the first second and the setting sun is witness.

Not dead, but not alive

The tour is jokingly called Still Not Dead Yet , but the title is horribly striking. Phil Collins is very fragile in health. He does it only once (from his permanent seat in front of the stage to the piano chair and back) and the timing of his singing is a bit slow. A number of songs are even played noticeably slower, probably to ensure that Phil can keep up. But the vocals themselves are good in terms of purity and the songs remain completely intact.

Father and son Collins

Phil also brought a top band, including fantastic backing singers and fine blazers. His son, who observes Phil's honors behind the drum set, has clearly been given the Collins drum genes. The son also plays with proud dad his favorite song from the album Face Value: "You Know What I Mean"! The kiss on son's head speaks volumes.

As cliché as possible, the drum fill of 'In The Air Tonight' makes a goosebumps wave go through the Goffertpark. You only have to look on social media to see it again, I think. More than fifty thousand people probably filmed it by the phone calls. Phil ends the evening with nice long versions of his biggest hits.

A successful evening by a man who might have been able to retire earlier for the tour. But with eyes closed and ears full open, it was enjoying his impressive oeuvre."
