Phil Collins launched the third leg of the Not Dead Yet Tour to substantial success, selling 96,311 tickets and banking $14.4 million from seven shows, according to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore. He impacts the Hot Tours recap dated Oct. 27, 2018 at No. 3 due to the East Coast arena run.
Collins brought the tour’s name to life, selling out all seven shows. The leg’s highest attendance tally came in Toronto, where he moved 14,686 tickets at the Scotiabank Arena and grossed $1.99 million. Even still, Collins broke the $2-million mark at four of the domestic shows, despite selling slightly fewer tickets. Brooklyn’s Barclays Center leads the charge, where Collins grossed $2.2 million, followed by Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center, the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., and the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla., respectively.
Meanwhile, U2 tops the latest Hot Tours recap with $23 million from reports of 12 European shows between Sept. 20 and Oct. 16, 2018. This tour finds the Irish quartet playing "intimate" shows, doubling up in arenas. But In some cases, two nights haven’t been enough to hold them; after doubles in Madrid, Copenhagen, Hamburg, and Amsterdam, U2 played four sold out shows at Milan’s Mediolanum Forum, grossing $7.1 million from 50,660 tickets sold. Following last year’s 30th anniversary tour for The Joshua Tree, their current trek is in support of 2017’s Songs of Experience.
Elsewhere on the tally, the first reports have been submitted from Kylie Minogue's Golden Tour, Luis Miguel continues the year-long Mexico Por Siempre Tour, and Beyonce & Jay-Z close out On the Run II in grand fashion.
