Many singers dream of making it big, but now one celebrity wants to offer support to aspiring artists by creating his own star search.
Little Dreams Foundation, established by Phil Collins, is looking to make someone's dreams a reality.
Grammy award winning singer, Phil Collins knows a thing or two about having big dreams and with the right opportunities and talent to spare, Phil made his dreams come true. Now, he's helping others, along with his former wife, to do the same with the charity Little Dreams Foundation. "Orianne and I started the foundation 15 years ago," Collins said. "The idea was to help kids that had a talent, and also had a dream that didn't want to go through life saying, 'What if?'"
The two announced Friday that the charity will hold auditions for talent Saturday, June 20th from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Markee Music in Deerfield Beach. Kids auditioning must be between the ages of four and 16, and musically inclined.
Phil also introduced the charity's new godfather."The role of the godfather, which Marouane Fellaini is our newest, is to show kids that it can happen," he said.
Marouane Fellaini is an accomplished, world-famous Belgian soccer player who will help kids realize their potential and dreams. "For me it's an honor to be part of this foundation now," Fellaini said. "Always if I can help the children, I do it."
For the first time in the charity's history, Collins will also judge the auditions. Those selected will receive a 12-month mentorship that will ensure that their musical talents will be put to good use.
