Mike and The Mechanics have sold over 10 million records worldwide. Genesis founding member Mike Rutherford (guitar) returns with the same new generation Mike and The Mechanics.
The line-up includes one of the UK’s most prolific R&B singers, Andrew Roachford (lead and backing vocals), whose previous hits include 'Cuddly Toy' and 'Family Man'. and Canadian-born singer Tim Howar (lead and backing vocals), who toured with his band Vantramp, with Rod Stewart and Paulo Nutini. Tim shares vocal duties with Roachford and they both add a new soulful dimension to the band’s already established sound.
Following on from their recent sold-out tour in the US, the Looking Back Over My Shoulder Tour in 2019, will include tracks from their highly acclaimed latest album Let Me Fly, and their other classic hits such as 'The Living Years', 'Silent Running', 'All I Need Is A Miracle', 'Word Of Mouth', 'Another Cup of Coffee', and the unforgettable 'Over My Shoulder'.
Symphony Hall is a 2,262 seat concert venue in Birmingham, England. It was officially opened by the Queen in June 1991, lthough had been opened on April 15, 1991. It is home to the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and hosts around 270 events a year. It was completed at a cost of £30 million. The hall's interior is modelled upon the Musikverein in Vienna and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. The venue, managed alongside Town Hall, presents a programme of jazz, world, folk, rock, pop and classical concerts, organ recitals, spoken word, dance, educational and community performances, and is also used for conferences and business events.
