Peter Gabriel @ SWU 2011 Peter Gabriel @ SWU 2011 Fabrício Vianna

After becoming aware of what happened in 2011 SWU, Peter Gabriel called Roger Moreira, head of the 'Ultraje a Rigor', and apologized for the confusion. Find out what happened here.

In official statement about the fact the misunderstanding was cleared up. "I discovered this morning that there was a problem between my team and Ultraje a Rigor at the SWU festival, which ended my show stopping production of them off and amplifiers. I called Roger Moreira to apologize directly to him and the band", says Peter.

One reason for this was all the rain that fell during the day of submission of two bands, like the statement said: "The storm delayed the order of the shows in two hours, and all artists have agreed to reduce their shows in 15 minutes. I have heard from the festival organizers that 'Ultraje a Rigor' was playing for longer than agreed, and that there would be two more bands to play on our stage. I believe that was why my production manager, who has had many problems with equipment damaged by water, was frustrated. Anyway, he should not have interrupted their show."

In the end, Peter was sorry for what happened: "I believe in equal treatment for all artists, and sorry that we failed in this direction last night.."
