This evening gave themselves the honor of Mike & The Mechanics in Duisburg. In the theater at the launch event takes place Marientor for their tour of Germany. Overall, they give seven concerts in Germany. A visit for young and young at heart is worth all times.

Mike & The Mechanics were always more than a mere side project for Mike Rutherford of super-group Genesis fame. And the latest incarnation of the group proves it continues to be his labour of love.

Quiet, self-effacing, unassuming...it’s sometimes hard to believe that Mike Rutherford is the driving force behind the utterly exuberant Mike + The Mechanics.

The Genesis guitarist is bringing his other band, Mike and the Mechanics, to the Clyde Auditorium next Wednesday.

Rising Phoenix-like from the ashes, Rutherford has decided to reform the band he originally started as a side-line to his activities in Genesis.
